Atlas began with a simple idea: serve others and promote freedom
Today, almost 30 years later, we actively serve as a catalyst and connector to link free-market organizations and individuals to the ideas, people and resources they need to promote freedom in their society.
Tearing Down the Wall is realizing that simple idea; attempting to break the barriers to freedom that people face daily.
Atlas set a goal to raise $20,000.00 in 20 days.
Why?
Meeting the 20-day goal would enable Atlas to fund dozens of Freedom Champions- the very people who are tearing down the wall to travel to Washington , D.C. to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Thanks to you - and Atlas friends around the world - we accomplished our 20-day, $20K goal for the Tearing Down Walls campaign. We've raised over $30,000 to bring promising freedom heroes to training events surrounding the annual Freedom Dinner held on November 9th.
I can't thank you enough for actively participating in this campaign and partnering with Atlas as it promotes individual liberty. Like so many brave souls from Leipzig, Tiananmen, Prague, and Berlin 20 years ago, you've answered the call today. You've joined the cause for freedom in honor of those who came before us in this crucial battle against statism.
Donations arrived via mail, Facebook, the Atlas webpage, and a variety of other creative means (more on that fascinating tale at a later date....the pony express holds nothing over Atlas's ideas entrepreneurs who were determined to contribute!)
